Introduction
The words sound nearly identical, but modern Merkaba teachings and classical Merkabah mysticism developed in very different cultural and textual settings.
Classical Merkabah
The classical tradition centers on Ezekiel's throne vision, heavenly ascent, angelic hierarchies, hymns, divine names, and the throne of glory.
Modern Merkaba
Modern metaphysical teachings often describe a rotating geometric field, spiritual vehicle, or light body represented by interlocking tetrahedra.
A useful distinction
Both can be explored on the same website when the historical boundary is made explicit. Clear labeling protects the integrity of the source traditions while allowing comparative reflection.
Classical Merkabah mysticism and modern Merkaba teachings are related mainly through later reinterpretation, not direct historical identity.
